Headline Features
Partial Refund Status Reason
Overview: This feature allows PowerWorker Engage (PwE) users to issue partial refunds to donors, enabling them to return a portion of the transaction amount.
Benefit:
The system automatically updates the Status Reason to "Partial Refund" when the refunded amount is less than the total transaction amount, eliminating the need for manual status updates and calculations. This functionality ensures that users can accurately track the total amount received from both completed and partially refunded transactions.
Enhances overall efficiency and reducing the likelihood of errors in financial reporting.
Multiple Refund
Overview: This feature empowers PwE users to execute multiple partial refunds on a transaction, provided that the total refunded amount does not exceed the original transaction amount.
Benefit:
This capability grants users greater control over the refund process, allowing for flexibility in managing donor transactions.
The system presents only the relevant categories for refunds based on the original transaction, such as Membership Amount or Gift Amount, streamlining the user experience and reducing chances of manual human error.
Update Gift Type and Payment Method on Payment Schedule
Overview: This feature allows PwE users to modify the Gift Type and Payment Method associated with an active Payment Schedule.
Benefit:
Organisations can offer donors the flexibility to update their Gift Type (e.g., Credit Card, Debit Card, Direct Debit) and Payment Method (e.g., updating Credit Card details or Bank Account information) for ongoing contributions.
Once updated the payment Method and Gift Type, the system automatically processes the next donation payment according to the updated details, ensuring a seamless experience without requiring manual intervention from users.
Confirmation message before charging donor card/account
Overview: This feature displays a confirmation message to PwE users when they manually enter a transaction and click the Process button.
Benefit:
This enhances security and reduces the risk of erroneous charges by prompting users to confirm their actions.
Enhancement in Address Change for both Account and Contact
Overview: The Address Change functionality has been significantly improved to now record both previous and new values for all fields related to account and contact addresses, enhancing the overall tracking of address modifications.
Benefit:
This enhancement works across three addresses for contacts and two addresses for accounts, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all address fields rather than just a select few.
It captures the transition from an initially blank address to a new address, thereby providing a timestamp for when the address was first established for the specified account or contact.
This improvement not only streamlines the process of updating addresses but also enhances data integrity by maintaining a complete history of address changes, which can be crucial for auditing and reporting purposes.
Grant Management and Volunteer Management modules
Overview: PwE users are now able to access Microsoft’s Grant Management and Volunteer Management modules directly through the PwE App, facilitating a more integrated user experience.
Benefit:
This integration provides PwE users with the flexibility to seamlessly navigate and utilise existing functionalities and data tables from both Grant Management and Volunteer Management modules.
