Headline Features

Roster Pattern Creation Enhancements

Overview: Roster Patterns have been enhanced to provide greater flexibility and control in workforce scheduling. Users can now define frequency-based patterns across daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly intervals apart from creating rolling patterns. Schedulers can now design more dynamic and realistic rostering models aligned with operational requirements.

Benefit: Schedulers gain precise control over how rosters are generated and repeated, supporting both predictable and rotating workforce scenarios. The introduction of Rolling Patterns enables organisations to accommodate complex shift cycles with minimal manual effort. This reduces administrative overhead, improves consistency in roster creation, and ensures greater alignment between scheduling models and real-world workforce operations.

Worker Availability Management

Overview: Availability management has been introduced to allow users to define when frontline workers are available to work. Schedulers can record specific days and time ranges for each worker, creating a reliable availability profile within the system. This information is then used during scheduling to ensure that only suitable and available resources are considered for shift and position assignments.

Benefit: Scheduling accuracy is significantly improved by aligning shift assignments with actual worker availability. Schedulers are guided towards appropriate resources, reducing trial and error and minimising the need for manual rescheduling or reassignment. The system actively prevents work from being allocated outside of defined availability windows, ensuring compliance with workforce constraints and improving overall roster quality.

Frontline App Time Entry Feature

Overview: The Frontline App now supports Time Entry functionality from PowerRoster Model Driven App. Frontline workers can now view, update and submit Time Entries from mobile devices. The system also generates Proposed time entries for eligible shifts. Users can use these to capture their time worked rather than creating Time Entries from scratch. Lastly, the brand-new ability to submit time entries for approval has been introduced for the Frontline App as well.

Benefit: Time Entry Support in the Frontline App gives Frontline Workers the ability to access and update their Time Entries through the mobile interface with ease, enabling quick and smooth capturing of Time Worked.

ShiftLens AI Agent

Overview:  ShiftLens is an autonomous scheduling intelligence feature that address the operational burden of last-minute unplanned staff absences. ShiftLens leverages a set of intelligent agents and automated workflows to detect, process and resolve scheduling gaps with minimal human-intervention.

Benefit: ShiftLens reduces the operational burden faced by team leaders when last minute shift replacements are required by autonomously handling the end-to-end process of managing absence-related scheduling.

Notification Hub

Overview: Notification Hub is a centralised notification service for Dataverse and Power Platform that routes Notification delivery across Email, Teams and In-App Channels, giving users the control over how they’re notified.

Benefit:  Notification Hub provides a single notification service for Power Platform solutions, eliminating the need for developing notification logic from scratch. Running entirely within Dataverse and Microsoft 365, it reduces implementation effort, improves reliability, and gives administrators full visibility into notification health and status.

Power BI Reports

Overview: The Reports Dashboard provides a centralised location for accessing and generating reports, making it easier for users to gain insights into roster activity without navigating multiple areas of the application. The Roster Schedule report delivers a clear, visual representation of rosters, including assigned resources and scheduled shifts, enabling users to quickly understand workforce allocations, identify scheduling patterns, and make more informed operational decisions.

Benefit: By presenting roster information through interactive Power BI reports, the Reports Dashboard improves visibility and accessibility of key scheduling data. Users can easily review resource assignments, shift coverage, and roster schedules in a visual format, helping reduce the time spent interpreting complex roster data while supporting better planning, monitoring, and decision-making.
