This guide walks you through configuring a Power BI Reports within PowerWorker Engage. With embedded Power BI reports in PwE, you can use the OOTB pre-built analytics on Gifs, Pipeline, Goal etc. You can also create your own custom reports which could be displayed alongside the OOTB reports in PwE.
Prerequisites to setup:
To configure your own Power BI report, you will need:
Power BI Pro license for users to create, share and view embedded reports.
To create and publish a Power BI workspace. Refer to https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/collaborate-share/service-create-the-new-workspaces.
You can install Power BI either:
During the PwE installation.
After PwE has already been installed.
Install Power BI during PowerWorker Engage installation
To install the Power BI solution as part of the PowerWorker Engage installation process:
Download the PwE Power BI solution from the Microsoft App Store.
Install PowerWorker Engage from the App Store.
During the PwE installation, enter the IDs for the Power BI report (.pbix) files obtained from the Power BI solution, along with the ID of the Power BI workspace where these reports will be imported.
To find the .pbix files, navigate to the PowerWorker Engage Power BI App Source listing and download them.
Complete PwE installation.
Install Power BI solution after installation of PwE
Download the PwE Power BI solution from the Microsoft App Store.
Navigate to make.powerapps.com and select the required environment.
Open the Solutions area.
Navigate to the Unmanaged Default Solution.
Select Environment Variables.
Search for the āPower BIā variable.

Open the Environment Variable and enter the .pbix file ID and the workspace ID in the Default Value field.
Repeat this step for each environment variable associated with a report.
