Frontline App Device Setup

The Frontline PowerWorker App is designed for Frontline Workers in the field to efficiently and effectively access Roster details. They can view shifts in a weekly or monthly format, explore the details of their Rosters, and apply for leave.

Important

The Frontline PowerWorker App works on iOS and Android devices, as well as Windows laptops and tablets.

Prerequisites

Go to the App Store on your iOS, Play Store on Android, or the Microsoft Store on Windows device and search for Power Apps to install.

How to Install PowerRoster Frontline App

1. Open the PowerApps application.

2. Search for PowerRoster Frontline App. The following results should be displayed:

   Navigation Menu

   The Navigation Menu displays the following options:

1. Home - The Home screen displays the current ongoing shift and all the upcoming shifts for the signed in resource. It also allows the resource to view if there are any notifications from the organisation.

    
   

2. Shifts - The Shifts screen displays all details of the upcoming shifts. The resource can view the upcoming shifts for the week or the month.
   
   

3. Swap Shift - The Swap Shift screen displays any shift that is available to be claimed or swapped by the resource.
   
   

4. Leaves - The Leaves screen provides an overview of all upcoming leaves and leave balance for the signed in Resource. It also allows the resource to apply for leaves.

5. Notifications - The Notification screen displays any vital notifications from the organisation.
   

Accessing the Frontline Application from your Home Page

An application shortcut for the PowerRoster Frontline Application can be created on the Home Screen of your phone. This allows for easier access of the application without opening the Power Apps application.

1. Open the Power Apps application on your mobile phone.

2. On the Home screen of the application, tap on the three dots next to the Frontline App.

3. Tap Pin to Home to create a shortcut on the Home Screen.

Sharing the Application

Users can share the application with other users in the organisation using the following ways:

1. Sharing the application link with users

   1. Open the Power Apps application on your mobile phone.

   2. On the Home screen of the application, tap on the three dots next to the Frontline App.

   3. Tap Share and copy the application link.

   4. Share the application link using any messaging client.

   Note: Use a URL link shortener like Bitly for ease of sharing, if required.
   

2. Generate a QR code from the application link (good for printing, emails, and onboarding guides)

   1. Once the application link has been generated via the above process, use Bitly to generate a QR Code from the link.

   2. Share the QR Code with users as required.

   3. Users can scan the QR Code to access the application.
